Meet Hopper: found in a Chicago alley on a cold winter day, like some kind of gritty little urban legend who simply decided, I'm tired and need stability. A comedian on the road will wear one out!
He’s got the bossy confidence and stubborn character of a bulldog, with the squishy, loyal heart of a pittie. Translation: he will absolutely have opinions about your schedule, your snack choices, and the fact that you dared to close a door.
Hopper is hilarious, ornery, and wicked smart. He’s looking for humans equipped to handle a good game of charades, possibly a Sherlock Holmes movie marathon, and definitely a dog who thinks in full sentences. This guy can open doors. Yes, really. So there you have it. Houdini with four legs and a waistline of pure determination.
Somehow, he’s also incredibly endearing.
He’s not just the life of the party, he is the party. He’s a vibe.
He’s addicting if you understand his language. Personality galore. Have we said that yet?
Hopper is 3 years old, about 50 lbs (because muscles weigh a lot), and he’s ready for a forever home with people who love a little spice, a lot of laughter, and a dog who will keep you on your toes in the best way.

Adoption fees: Dogs: $600, Bonded pairs: $900; Cats: $250, Pair: $325.
Fees include vaccinations, microchip, deworming and other vetting as needed. Our adoption process includes an application, reference check and home visit. Please note all adoption fees are final and non-refundable.
